Kaizen Physical Therapy’s team includes a range of licensed specialists, including physical therapists, physical therapist assistants, and massage therapists.

Jill Rose, DPT
Jill was born and raised in Upstate New York. She went to West Virginia University, afterwards attending SUNY Upstate Medical University for her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. She has over 15 years of experience in the physical therapy field.

Kristina Wilson, DPT
Kristina is a Florida native. She achieved her bachelor’s degree in Health Science from the University of Florida. Following, she attended the University of St. Augustine, obtaining a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Kristina then moved to the west coast of Florida, where she has practiced for the past 10 years. Kristina has two small children, and enjoys spending free time boating, running, and participating in obstacle course races.

Courtney Schweitzer, DPT
Courtney is originally from Long Island, New York and was raised in Bradenton, Florida. She attended Florida State University, where she earned her bachelor’s degrees before receiving her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of South Florida.
Courtney is married to her husband Chad and has two children, Leighton and Miles. She enjoys watching baseball, especially the Tampa Bay Rays!

Jamie Jameson, PTA
Jamie is a born-and-raised Floridian. She is currently working towards her Doctorate of Physical Therapy. Jamie enjoys being in or around water, watching reality television shows and movies, and snuggling with her sweet (and clingy) dog Bella. She specializes in contributing bad jokes, as well as singing and dancing, to her work environment.

David Maloney, PTA
David has been a PTA with Kaizen Total Wellness since 2013. He enjoys seeing his patients improve with physical therapy treatments and teaching them how to continue those improvements at home. David loves living in Florida and does not miss the cold winters of Chicago. He especially likes going to the beaches, exploring Florida, and playing golf.

Elizabeth Spurlock, PTA
Beth is a Physical Therapist Assistant. She graduated from the State College of Florida in 2015 and has worked with Kaizen since then. She is a native of Florida and was born and raised in St. Augustine.
Beth enjoys fitness and boating with her husband and two children. She chose physical therapy as a career because helping others is her passion.

Mario Valencia Rojas, LMT
Mario has been a massage therapist since 2009 and has a background as a massage therapy instructor. He collaborates with physical therapists and other doctors, who have given him a unique view on approaching clients’ needs.
Mario values educating his clients and students, and enjoys collaborating with individuals on achieving their goals. He teaches how to fuse clinically based, deep tissue, and myofascial techniques, as well as other modalities to both calm and relax each client. He adds stretches, movement, and kneading to provide a restorative, therapeutic treatment that aids in the body’s natural healing process.
Mario believes that massage can help unify and aid in healing the whole self. In his spare time, he loves being outdoors, reading, and spending time with his family and friends.

Alison Gerardi, LMT
Alison is a licensed massage therapist of 10 years. She was educated in New York State. During her career, she has earned certifications for orthopedic massage and corrective exercise.
In 2017, Alison had the opportunity to train in a specialized neuromuscular technique developed for Major League Baseball. This innovative soft tissue release works directly with the Central Nervous System, which controls all muscle functions.
Alison brings compassion, understanding and experience to her work. Patients under her care have reported reduced pain, increased flexibility, and a better quality of life overall.

Jenna Schultz
Jenna is a graduate of University of Wisconsin Stout. Born and raised in northern Wisconsin, she moved to Florida in 2008 to work for The Walt Disney Company.
Jenna has worked in medical administration for more than nine years in the Sarasota area. She is a firm believer in preventative healthcare through physical therapy, massage therapy, chiropractic treatment, a healthy diet, and exercise.

Janis has worked at the front desk for Kaizen for the last five years at our Bradenton, Florida location. She works with dedicated work staff of physical therapists and specialists, including phlebotomists and ultrasound professionals. She has more than 40 years in the medical field and has extensive knowledge of insurance billing and benefits.
Janis is originally from Syracuse, New York and moved to Bradenton more than two decades ago. She is married, and is a mother of two boys and two girls, as well as a grandmother to four granddaughters. She enjoys reading and traveling.
