A study at the University of California inspected the dermatology records of over 9,000 patients who were being evaluated for heart disease.
They found that, adjusting for cardiovascular risk factors, those with psoriasis were 80% more likely to have heart disease and those people with psoriasis for more then 8 years were 300% more likely to have heart problems.
What this means is that if you have psoriasis, you should be MORE careful when it comes to diet and exercise then the average person. You should be familiar with the signs and symptoms of heart disease and not let denial enter into the equation.
