While you aren’t going into space anytime soon, you can probably relate to those that do. Spending time in near zero-gravity causes bone mineral density to decrease and muscles to atrophy similar to when we age. The Russians first used vibration training on their cosmonauts which allowed them to stay in space for 420 days, as opposed to US astronauts without vibration training - 120 days! It was not until 1989 and the fall of the Berlin Wall that knowledge of vibration training spread throughout the world. Ten years later, Olympic trainer Guus van der Meer developed the "Power Plate Classic."
Our Power Plate (vibration) is used in combination with the bioDensity machine (isometrics) for conditioning, strengthening and rehabilitation.
